TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Participant," "you," or "your") and the organizer of the Family World Cup 2026 Prediction Pool ("Organizer," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using this platform (the "Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the Platform and contact the Organizer to deactivate your account.

• You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to participate in this prediction pool.
• By accessing or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If we discover or have reasonable grounds to believe that a Participant does not meet the age requirement, their account will be immediately terminated and any associated contributions will be forfeited.
• Participation is restricted to individuals who have been personally invited and approved by the Organizer. This is a private, invite-only pool for family members and close personal acquaintances.
• There is no public registration. Accounts are created solely at the discretion of the Organizer.
• Each Participant is permitted only one (1) account. Creating or using multiple accounts is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate removal.

• This Platform facilitates a private, non-commercial prediction pool organized exclusively for entertainment purposes among family members and close personal friends.
• This is not a commercial gambling, betting, or wagering service. The Organizer does not operate as a bookmaker, sportsbook, casino, or any form of licensed or unlicensed gambling establishment.
• The Organizer does not take a commission, fee, rake, or any other financial benefit from the operation of this pool. 100% of all contributed tokens are redistributed to winning Participants as prizes.
• The pool operates under the social/private gambling exemption applicable in most jurisdictions, which permits private, non-commercial betting among friends and family where no person profits from organizing the activity.
• This Platform is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to FIFA, the FIFA World Cup, or any football association, team, or governing body. All FIFA-related trademarks, names, and logos are the property of their respective owners.

• Your account credentials (email and password) are personal and confidential. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must not share your login credentials with any third party. Any predictions submitted through your account will be attributed to you, regardless of who actually submitted them.
• You must immediately notify the Organizer if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
• The Organizer is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.
• The Organizer reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.

• Participants may submit predictions for FIFA World Cup 2026 matches through the Platform. Predictions include group stage match scores and knockout stage winner selections.
• All predictions must be submitted before the applicable deadline for each match or stage. The deadline is the official kickoff time of the first match in that stage. Late submissions, modifications, or amendments will not be accepted under any circumstances.
• Once a prediction slate has been submitted and locked, it cannot be altered, withdrawn, or cancelled. Participants are encouraged to review their predictions carefully before final submission.
• Predictions saved as "draft" are not final and will not be scored. Only submitted and locked prediction slates are eligible for scoring.
• Technical difficulties, internet outages, device malfunctions, or any other circumstances beyond the Organizer's control do not entitle a Participant to an extension of any deadline.
• The Organizer reserves the right to modify deadlines in exceptional circumstances (e.g., if FIFA reschedules a match). Participants will be notified of any such changes through the Platform.

• Scoring is calculated automatically by the Platform based on official match results as confirmed by FIFA. The detailed scoring rules are published on the Rules & Scoring page and form part of these Terms.
• Group stage scoring awards points for correct result prediction, correct individual team goals, exact score, and correct goal difference, as detailed on the Rules page.
• Knockout stage scoring awards points for correctly predicting which team advances in each round, with increasing point values for later rounds.
• In the event that FIFA annuls, cancels, or awards a match result by forfeit, the Organizer will determine at their sole discretion how that match will be scored for the purposes of this pool.
• If a match is postponed and replayed, predictions for the original match will apply to the rescheduled match unless the Organizer specifies otherwise.
• The Organizer's interpretation of scoring rules and match results is final and binding. No appeals or challenges to scoring decisions will be entertained once results have been confirmed.

• Participation in the pool may require a token buy-in as determined by the Organizer. The buy-in amount is communicated to each Participant prior to the start of the tournament.
• All token contributions are non-refundable once the tournament has commenced, except at the sole discretion of the Organizer in extraordinary circumstances.
• Prizes are distributed as follows: 1st Place receives 70%, 2nd Place receives 20%, and 3rd Place receives 10% of the total token pool. These percentages may be subject to rounding.
• In the event of a tie in total points, the tied Participants will split the combined prize amount of their respective positions equally.
• Prize distribution will occur within a reasonable period following the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, after all scores have been verified and finalized.
• The Organizer is responsible for facilitating prize distribution but assumes no liability for delays caused by circumstances beyond their control (e.g., payment processing issues).
• Participants are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from prizes received. The Organizer does not provide tax advice and is not responsible for reporting prize amounts to any tax authority.

By using the Platform, you agree not to:

Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any tokens or prizes, at the Organizer's sole discretion.

• The Platform, including its design, code, graphics, and user interface, is the property of the Organizer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform without the Organizer's prior written consent.
• FIFA, the FIFA World Cup, and all related marks are trademarks of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association. Their use on this Platform is for informational and entertainment purposes only and does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.

• Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
• By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
• We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Data is only accessible to other pool Participants as necessary for leaderboard and scoring functionality.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

• The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• The Organizer does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform or participation in the pool.
• The Organizer's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount of your token buy-in contribution.
• The Organizer is not responsible for any losses resulting from: (a) technical failures, server downtime, or data loss; (b) unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure your credentials; (c) errors in scoring due to incorrect or delayed match result data from third-party sources; or (d) any force majeure event.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizer and their family members, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of or access to the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) any dispute between you and another Participant.

• Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the pool shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith informal negotiation between the Participant and the Organizer.
• For scoring disputes: the Organizer's determination of scores based on official FIFA match results is final. No formal dispute resolution process applies to scoring decisions.
• For all other disputes: if informal resolution fails within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction where the Organizer resides.
• Each party shall bear their own costs and fees in connection with any dispute resolution proceedings.
• You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action or representative proceeding.

The Organizer shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, government actions, power or internet outages, FIFA decisions to cancel or restructure the tournament, or any other force majeure event. In such circumstances, the Organizer will make reasonable efforts to notify Participants and, if applicable, determine a fair resolution for the pool at their sole discretion.

• The Organizer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to Participants through the Platform or via email.
• Continued use of the Platform after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
• If you do not agree to the modified Terms, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Platform and contact the Organizer to deactivate your account.

• The Organizer may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
• Upon termination: (a) your right to access and use the Platform will immediately cease; (b) any submitted predictions will remain in the system for scoring purposes if applicable; (c) forfeiture of tokens or prizes may apply if termination is due to a violation of these Terms.
• Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to: Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Organizer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction for the resolution of any disputes arising under these Terms.

• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Rules & Scoring page, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Organizer regarding your use of the Platform and participation in the pool.
• Waiver: The failure of the Organizer to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without the Organizer's prior written consent. The Organizer may assign these Terms without restriction.
• No Third-Party Beneficiaries: These Terms do not confer any rights or benefits on any third party.
• Headings: The section headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
